It is our pleasure to invite you to attend the “Responsible Business For Humanitarian Emergencies” Conference, which will take place during Warsaw Humanitarian Expo, the largest trade fair in Central-Eastern Europe dedicated to global humanitarian and business-related assistance.

REGISTRATIONEVENT PROGRAM

The Conference will begin with opening remarks by the Polish Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Jacek Czaputowicz. It will be followed by four panel discussions between representatives of the EU Institutions, UN family, politicians, as well as numerous international non-governmental organizations and companies. The Conference is held under the honorary patronage of the President of the Republic of Poland, Mr Andrzej Duda.

Urszula Ciołeszyńska – President of Polish Network of Women Entrepreneurship Ambassadors will take a part in the panel discussion MOTIVATIONS, PROSPECTS, AND CHALLENGES. BUSINESS AND ETHICS IN HUMANITARIAN EMERGENCIES AND POST CONFLICT SITUATIONS (11:15 – 12:45).

The change in nature of humanitarian crisis forces us to develop a new way of thinking of how to work more effectively and efficiently. Panel will analyze and identify ways for the private sector to play more substantial role in assisting during humanitarian emergencies and post conflict situations.

What are the possibilities for business to engage into humanitarian aid?
What can be the added value of business engagement in more timely, adequate and effective humanitarian response?
Is the private sector doing its share? And even if it does, how can we develop more effective and mutually beneficial cooperation?
What role can emerging economies play in humanitarian aid?
Is it still possible to provide ethical humanitarian aid?
How can we assure that the humanitarian aid remains principled?

Participants are kindly requested to fill the registration form. The conference will be conducted in English (translation to Polish will be provided). There will be a shuttle bus to PTAK WARSAW EXPO from the Centrum 03 stop (Marszałkowska Street, near the Palace of Culture and Science). An additional shuttle bus will depart from the Centrum 03 stop at 7:45 (11 June).
